20 years ago, 6 of us flew in a 6-seater plane from Virginia to West
Palm Beach, FL to the Bahamas (over the Bermuda Triangle -- one of us
was a pilot). In the Bahamas we rented a fully-stocked sailboat and for
10 days cruised the Bahamian islands.
On Green Turtle Cay we
visited the Blue Bee Bar and got to know the proprietor, Miss Emily. We
created such a stir that I believe most of the town was at the bar that
night. One of my friends, artist Dave Freda (an artist and a climber)
was doing climbing moves along the beams after he had a few "Goombay
Smashes"!
I took a break and sat at the bar talking to very
soft-spoken Miss Emily. I am grateful I took her picture -- since I
used this to create my painting when I came back to the U.S. Miss Emily
(now deceased) was very well known throughout the Bahamas.
Thank you for visiting my shop -- Elizabeth
NOTE:
"Miss Emily" is already in a bronze metal frame -- I can include this
for no charge if you would like! ALSO, IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN
PURCHASING THIS PAINTING -- WE CAN NEGOTIATE A DEAL! (just ask me).
